Dr Jess Kenney is the clinic owner and Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). She is a recognised practitioner for the private health insurers Aviva, Vitality and WPA. She believes in treating the body as a whole and doesn’t neglect the role the nervous system can have on our bodies.

Doctors of Chiropractic (D.C.’s) have undergone 5 years of full time University study, must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and hold relevant Professional Indemnity Insurance. ​Dr Kenney started her career in 2015 and works with all cases using a variety of techniques, including complicated ones and those that haven’t responded to prior techniques.

In her spare time, she enjoys her 2 horses (Norbert and Echo), fitness and taking her motorbike for spin when the weather is good.

Specialty: Spinal Concerns including Sciatica

Jenny qualified as a sports massage therapist in 2019 whilst also training as a competitive swimmer. Through her connections in sports Jenny found and fell in love with chiropractic. She was amazed at the benefits she and others around her gained as a result of chiropractic care, sparking her interest in studying for 5 years to gain a masters degree in chiropractic herself.

Jenny’s treatment style involves hands on techniques including spinal manipulation therapy and myofascial releases which help restore balance of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Complementary to this care, Jenny can recommend exercises and give lifestyle advice in order to sustain positive long term health. Jenny puts the needs and preferences of each individual at the forefront of her clinical decision making.

Jenny loves spending time with her friends and family, and especially loves some retail therapy from time to time.

Sami Ikhlaq BSc

Batchelors Degree in Sports Injuries, currently undertaking a Masters degree in Physiotherapy, Level 4 Sports Massage, Cupping, IASTM

Specialty: Tendon, ligament and muscle injury, shoulders and knees

With a predominantly sporting background, he has seen many common sports injuries involving muscles, tendons and ligaments however he treats people from all non-sporting backgrounds too. With extensive clinic experience, he is able to assess, treat and rehabilitate a variety of musculoskeletal injuries.

During university placements, Sami worked with St Helens Rugby Club and Blackpool Football Academy under the head Physiotherapist to provide treatments for team players.

 Sami enjoys participating in sports and has recently been focused on tennis with his brother. Outside of sport, he likes to relax through nature and enjoys visiting local areas of natural beauty.

Michaela Slade

Level 3 Personal Trainer

Speciality: Full body strength, fitness and mobility for longevity.

Michaela is very passionate about living an active lifestyle, having been involved with sport her whole life. This love of wellbeing through fitness has now become her vocation with a desire to share her extensive experience to help others live healthier and happier lives.

Her ethos is building strength from the ground up encompassing the body as a whole, using movement and resistance training to holistically promote optimal function and performance. She finds helping people better themselves both physically and mentally extremely rewarding, and as such is always improving her own knowledge through continued study to become a more effective trainer.

In her spare time, Michaela enjoys weight training, running and dog walking, as well as a mix of sporting activities. She also loves spending time with her family andsupporting her three sons in their sports.

Brandon Booty

Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist

Specialty: General muscle tension including shoulders, back and legs.

Brandon is our sports massage therapist that uses deep tissue massage to help get your knotted muscles feeling better. His favourite part of being a sports massage therapist is seeing people feel better, and how that translates into their daily life.

In his spare time, Brandon enjoys football, karate and going to the gym and has always been into sport and fitness..
