Become an Associate Chiropractor

Who we are…

We are a multidisciplinary clinic.

We are a three room clinic, helping people with every part of their journey from initial pain through to body optimisation. We have our clinic owner and chiropractor Jess who handles the complex cases. We have Sami, our sports therapist and student physio who handles the sports injuries and rehab. Then we have Chris our massage therapist to help with general tension and once they’re ready, we have Hannah our movement coach who teaches 1:1 and 2:1 yoga, pilates and strength training.

We believe in progression and growth.

Whether it’s working with our brains or bodies, we are a firm believer that you can never be too good. For our practitioners, this looks like further courses, and learning from each case and each interaction. For our patients, this looks like better understanding of their own bodies, feeling confident in themselves and understanding their real why. Pain is not the driver for seeking help - its what the pain means to them.

We are a waitlist clinic.

In the past 18 months we have built up from opening our doors to being fully booked with a wait list. Any new patients pre-book around one month in advance and we need a new chiropractor that can build their own reputation and skills to take on these clients and build their own wait list. We will help you boost yourself with marketing if needed for the first few months. We love that our patients trust us with their friends and family and we think this is the best measure of a good chiropractor and communicator.

We value finesse, individuality and authenticity.

We pride ourselves on paying attention to nuances between individuals, and knowing protocols, but not blindly following them. We want treatment and education to be specific to the patient. We also know that for optimal healing, we as practitioners need to build a genuine and trusting relationship where they know that we'll do our best by them. For that to happen, we need to present ourselves with a good, authentic energy and be able to put our egos aside.

We are neurodiverse friendly.

We play on strengths such as attention to detail, problem solving and whatever hyperfocus or avenue you want to explore. We can go highly structured or loosely structured. You can decide If you want a break, or if you prefer to power through, if you prefer taking your notes on paper, or on computers. Social boundaries and communications will be respected and coached if needed. We are neurodiverse, and we know it can be a bit of a minefield when you’re getting to grips with everything so we are flexible to your needs.

We use the latest software, apps and tech.

When we launched we decided to go without an on-site reception team. Instead our patients handle their schedule from their app, and practitioners use the newest and most streamlined software Zoneee. We have a remote reception team handling calls and sending instant communication to us, and we offer block pricing and memberships to our clients to make sure we can spend their whole treatment treating, not admin.

Sounding Good?

Scroll down for some more about the role…

  • Basic Associate: This is your starting point. This is where you'll need more training, more marketing and we're here to support you as you build into a better clinician.

Intermediate Associate: After 1 year you can start working up to Intermediate. We'll look at things like your reviews, referred patients, results, clinical independence and capacity.

Lead Chiropractor: After 2-3 years you can build up to lead. Here you'll be able to practice completely independently and in a position to train the new staff.

  • Here we understand that self-employed should also give you independence. That’s why you’ll get things such as:

    • No uniform, simply dress professionally.

    • No limits or authorisation on holidays or time out. You're in control of your diary, you'll just need to let us know what you've done. You won't get paid for time out, so as long as your patient results and complaints aren't affected you can be in charge of your diary.

  • There is flexibility for the right candidate. A minimum of 4 shifts per week will be required, these are typically 4-6 hours each. As we have no in house reception team, many of our staff choose to change their hours slightly depending on their life commitments.

  • You’ll have total support through your first 10-20 cases from preparation, new patient, case management and communication. As you gain more experience and confidence with managing people, we'll typically do 1 hour of 1:1 per week as well as having the opportunity to run questions or cases. This can be to build your own confidence, your technique skills, assessment tools and more.

We will also teach you how to be an independent practitioner, and help develop skills you can use throughout life.

  • Currently we have never marketed for chiropractic as we run completely off referral basis. We do invest up to £3k per month for the first 3 months for new starters if needed. To help get your list up and running, you can run weekend screens for meeting people 1:1, and we can run ads on social media but of course these are less successful than screens.

  • We view our plans more like guidelines. We look bigger than this pain episode as we're really about optimising health, and bodies are strong enough to not spontaneously break down picking up a sock.

We go through 3 stages - the first is addressing acute pain. Then we get into the background of how that came to be and this is where we spend most time. Stage 2 is where we are more actively involved in the case, normally month 2 and 3 and then Stage 3 is where the patient is either coming for a tune up or checkover, or for advice. This might be addressing foot mechanics, squat pattern, strength, old injury, scar tissue, general health, sleep, lifestyle advice and more. Memberships are available for people that want to keep building their body, or for chronic cases.

We want them to go away feeling like they've learnt something about their body every time they leave us.

  • For MRIs, we have an account with MRIplus in Southend, only 25 minutes away from us. The referral takes 2 minutes and the patient will receive their MRI for £199 for a 2 day turnaround, with no longer than 1 week wait for the scan.

For x-rays, we use a local chiropractic office with crystal clear imaging. Our patients get an x-ray appointment for £45, it is booked in our clinic immediately for as early as 24 hours and the images returned to us within the day.

  • Your new patient exam is 45minutes and includes treatment on the day. Your report of findings is 45minutes. Adjustments are 15 minute as standard or an extended adjustment is 30mins. Progress reviews (every 6) is 30minutes.

We are looking for someone who can become a valued clinician. One who values their reputation. One who wants to grow. One who can learn to take their own initiative. One who can inspire their patients. One who their patients trust with their loved ones.
